Election Notification Cum Circular dated 10.02.2016

All the Members of the Association are hereby notified that elections to the following posts of the AICEIA, Karnataka Circle will be conducted as scheduled below.

3.1    Formations in Bengaluru

3.1.1  The voters of formations in Bengaluru shall exercise their franchise at the polling booth on the scheduled date & time.  They shall carry their Department ID Card for verification of identity.

3.2.2  Voters of the formations outside Bengaluru can exercise their franchise in the following manner.

(a)  Presiding Officers for formations outside Bengaluru will be appointed and notified in due course. Voting will be allowed up to 6 PM on 25.02.2016.

(b)   Officers working in the same office buildings in the same city may approach the Presiding Officer and receive the ballot paper after due acknowledgement in the electoral roll.  After voting, the voted ballot paper may be folded (preferably with one horizontal and two/three vertical folds and stapled) and may be returned to the Presiding Officer.

(c)  Officers working in distant formations may cast their vote in any of the following patterns.

1)   As prescribed at (b) above.

2)   Ballot paper may be collected through a representative and they may either

Ø  return the voted ballot paper to the Presiding Officer personally or through a representative; or

Ø  send it in  a sealed envelope directly to the Returning Officer in the address “Jayaseelan.C, Superintendent, Division-C, Service Tax II Commissionerate, 3^rd Floor, TTMC-BMTC Building, Old Airport Road, Domlur, Bengaluru-560071” by speed post so as to reach on or before 01.03.2016.

4.       It is clarified that all the Inspectors in the electoral roll are eligible for voting irrespective of their subscription to the Association. Ballot paper without Sl. No. and/or signature of returning officer will be treated as invalid. Decision of the Returning officer shall be final and binding, with respect to all matters relating to conduct of election.

5.       Counting of votes and announcement of results is scheduled at CR Building, Queens Road, Bengaluru on 05.03.2016 from 10 AM onwards.

6.      Wide publicity may be given to this circular among the Electoral College.
